Hi, I’m Al Smart, a retired BT Manager and Road Safety presenter (yes, those speed awareness courses!) based in North West Leicestershire. I’m happily married, and we share our home with a very opinionated tabby cat who graciously decided we were worthy of his companionship.
My love for radio broadcasting started with a fascination for pirate radio stations—those daring operations on ships and abandoned wartime forts. In 2007, I turned that passion into action, volunteering as a presenter, engineer, and fundraiser with Carillon Radio, a hospital radio station. Back then, recording a show meant weekly trips to the Loughborough studios—a logistical challenge while juggling self-employment. With my engineering background and a dash of curiosity, I soon discovered I could record programmes from home, and I’ve been doing so ever since. After a few years at Carillon, I took a leap into internet radio, launching my signature show, Easy Sunday. It’s a mix of music from the 1950s to today, blended with fun features designed to entertain and uplift. Now, I’m thrilled to bring Easy Sunday to Your favourite Radio Station, sharing timeless tracks and feel-good vibes to make your weekends brighter. So, tune in, sit back, and let’s take a musical journey through the decades together!
My name is Tracey Wilson and I’m very new to Radio presenting. I have, however, in the past helped announce items on a tape magazine for a charity for visually impaired people. many years ago.
I am a 70s and 80s child and like many in my generation grew up listening to Radio whether it be in the mornings getting ready for school, throughout the day and eagerly awaiting the pop charts on a Sunday evening to find out who was going to be that particular weeks number one.
Although 80s music is my favourite I have a wide knowledge of music from across the decades and genres, I like to champion the more forgotten musical gems that are not often heard on mainstream radio these days.
I started listening to Easy Sunday around September 2024 and started regularly contributing to the show. Having communicated with Al over social media and met in person for the first time in early 2025. We chatted about Radio and he then invited me to co present the show which I have been doing since June 2025 and I am loving every minute.
